Purpose: David L. Boren Graduate Fellowships encourage US graduate students to add an international dimension to their education. Fellowships provide support for overseas or domestic study. Applicants design their own programs. Programs must include study of a modern language other than English and the study of an area and culture. This fellowship can provide up to $30,000 for language study and international research.
Qualifications: Students must be enrolled at an accredited US institution of higher learning located in the US and be in the process of pursuing a graduate degree at the time the award is made.
