Policies on Application Submission

Who is eligible:

The Office of National Scholarships, Fellowships, and Programs (302 MSRB) provides services to all BYU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as BYU alumni, who apply for undergraduate and/or graduate scholarships.

Application deadlines:

Deadlines must be strictly observed!   All deadlines are clearly posted on the individual scholarship webpages.   If you have any questions concerning procedures or when certain portions of applications are due, please consult the specific scholarship webpage or contact the Office of National Scholarships, Fellowships, and Programs.

Letters of Recommendation:

All letters of recommendation and committee evaluations are confidential and will not be released to the student.   All letters of recommendation must arrive at our office in a signed and sealed envelope for authenticity sake.   Letters submitted to our office for the purpose of a particular scholarship application will not be eligible for use in any other competition or for submission to any other office or agency.

Archives:

In general all application materials will be kept for one year. At this time, students may retrieve all application materials EXCEPT letters of recommendation (see paragraph above).
