Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. Whether in politics, business or science, the success of future leaders around the world will depend upon an understanding of China’s role in global trends.
Purpose: The WW Teaching Fellows—current senior undergrads, recent grads, or career changers—are for students with majors in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, math, and some related areas) who want to pursue graduate-level teacher preparation at one of 22 participating universities in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and New Jersey.
Purpose: The Pembroke-King’s Programme (PKP) offers an exceptional opportunity for outstanding undergraduates at universities around to the world to experience Cambridge student life over eight weeks, the length of a regular University term. Living in Pembroke or King’s Colleges, students choose three courses from the fifty on offer, including courses in the arts, social sciences, business and management, humanities and sciences. All courses are ‘Cambridge’ in style, content and standard.
Purpose: The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) is a US government effort to expand the number of Americans who study critical need foreign languages. Run by the US Department of State, the CLS scholarship provides fully-funded group-based intensive language instruction for undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. students. CLS language instruction consists of seven to ten weeks of in-country study in the following languages: Arabic, Persian, Azerbaijani, Bangla/Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Punjabi, Turkish, Urdu, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian. CLS instruction takes place in various countries including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Russia, South Korea, Tajikistan, Tunisia, and Turkey.
Qualifications: Applicants must be US citizens currently enrolled in a US degree-granting program at either the undergraduate or graduate level. Eligible undergraduate students must have completed at least one year of general college course-work by the program start date. All applicants must be 18 by the beginning of the CLS program and be in acceptable mental and physical health. Students of diverse majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply. Participants are expected to continue their language study beyond the scholarship period and apply their critical language skills in their future professional careers.
