Craig Palsson is an Economics major from Danville, CA. Craig credits his friendship and work experience as a research assistant to Dr. Joe Price as great preparation for the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Craig coauthored two papers with Dr. Price that have been accepted to professional journals and, under the mentoring of Dr. Price, Craig received an ORCA research grant during his senior year at BYU. In addition to his BYU activities, Craig also spent six weeks in Haiti doing research for FINCA, a microfinance organization. He also has a talent for languages and speaks Haitian Creole, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. He is the proud father of a son Mazer, and he and his wife are expecting a daughter. Craig plans to use his NSF fellowship to study Economics at Yale University.
